Bushelcraft Farm is an educational farm started in 2020 in Elkhart, IN. Its mission is to support community access to healthy food, meaningful experiences in nature, and to provide experience-based creative skills training for everyone to grow.
As an organization, Bushelcraft Farm has officially received 501(c)(3) status and is overseen by a board of directors. Its work centers around–though not limited to–creating opportunities for folks in the greater Elkhart-Goshen-South Bend region to connect around local food, educational opportunities, and building skills and community connections outdoors on real land. There is something for everyone.
In 2020, Bushelcraft Farm offered over 18 classes to the community on a range of food, gardening, and soil-building topics and developed a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program in which 36 households committed for the summer and fall growing seasons. Dozens of volunteers helped outdoors in the field and by helping staff events.
In 2021, we continued offering classes, CSA, volunteering, and more. In 2022, we hope you find ways to connect with our programs, our mission, our the efforts to educate, grow, and empower. Have ideas? We’d love to hear them.
